Le Vagabond is situated a mere 100 metres from what used to be the town's single & solitary set of traffic lightsnow, "ex-traffic lights" ... metamorphosed into a roundabout! | A very short walk to the end of the main pedestrian street rue du Docteur Paccard | Which, straight-on > changes to avenue Ravanel le Rouge. |
Train ... ten minutes easy stroll
The scenic Mont-Blanc Express train comes through to Chamonix via St. Gervais - Le Fayet. |
From Chamonix's train station walk down the main drag, namely avenue Michel Croz | keeping McDonalds (subtly disguised for Chamonard taste!) on your left, go straight into the centre of town. |
At the clock tower turn left, following the main pedestrian street rue du Docteur Paccard, until it turns into avenue Ravanel le Rouge | continue over the newest roundabout in town ... Chamonix's solitary set of traffic lights, having undergone reconstructive surgery to re-emerge as a roundabout! |
And, the Vagabond is a mere 100 metres on your left. |
Bus ... a one minute walk
From the bus station in Chamonix sud | turn left and walk across the bridge over river l'Arve towards the town-planners newest creation ... yet another roundaboutex-traffic lights! |
Turn left again into avenue Ravanel le Rouge and the Vagabond. |
Car & the carpark
You arrive in Chamonix via the motorway (A40) Autoroute Blanche.
At the second large roundabout, turn left into Chamonix sud | Continue straight over two roundabouts | and, across river l'Arve to a third 'small-er' roundabouthaving recently undergone metamorphosis from Cham-land's solitary set of traffic lights! |
Turn left and the Vagabond is 100 metres on the left. |
First left past the building for car park to the rear. |
